​The Bank of England will be issuing the new £20 polymer note on 20th February 2020. The new note will be 139 mm x 73 mm and it will feature the great artist, JMW Turner.

The Bank's decision to move to the new banknotes was taken based on work with a wide range of stakeholders in the cash industry. The Bank is aware of the challenges to adapt to smaller notes but is committed to working collaboratively with businesses to support a smooth transition.
